Your data stays on your device

Every scan you save — names, dates of birth, license numbers, visit history, VIP and banned flags — is stored only in the app’s local database on your device. ID Scanner has no server, no account system, and never uploads, syncs, or transmits scan data anywhere.

Camera

The camera is used solely to read the barcode on the back of a driver’s license or ID card, live on-device. No photos or video are captured or stored.

Backups

Backup files are created only when you choose to create one, and go only where you choose to send them. You are responsible for backup files once exported.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see or store your payment details.

Deleting your data

In-app: Settings → Delete All Data permanently erases every scan record and flag from the device. Deleting the app has the same effect.
